To all other if you see it, hear it, REPORT it. You may be saving a life
Once a young child is abused, it leaves scars. When Connie was a very young girl, her abuse started at the age of eight after her mother’s death. The physical abuse, verbal abuse, sexual abuse and the fear she endured left her feeling rejected, and she began to lose trust in others in fear of being hurt. A lot of times she found herself the doctor of her wounds. When she was free of the abuse that she experienced in her childhood, she repeated the same cycle of abuse in adulthood. Why? Patterns, no guidance, no structure, no protection. Later on in her life when she met her first love, he had different hidden patterns but not of abuse of mental issues that steamed from his childhood, and wow, did he beat Connie! So, the cycle rotates, it moves like a wheel, and it trickles down from one abused person sometimes to the next abused person. controlling demanding, verbal abuse, physical abuse, social abuse, mental abuse, hurt, pain, and fear are all part of the cycle. A child growing up without their parents’ love, protection and guidance leads to patterns such as these, tearing some lives completely apart.
